Research Associate (Unspecified Type) Reviews
What is it like working as a Research Associate (Unspecified Type)?
January 2015
File Clerk/Researcher.
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
Pros: Work on your own unsupervised as it is detailed, data entry, researching former clients.
Cons: I had to fill in for the administrative assistant when she was on leave or holidays.
October 2014
Neutral On Science Careers.
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
Pros: I have a very flexible schedule, no one really cares about what, how or when you do your work as long as you get good results and are doing what you're told to do.
Mostly, people are nice at work, have a pretty casual atmosphere.
The job is really good for people who just want to listen to their boss and do exactly what they tell you to do.
Cons: I don't like how the lower (less experienced) part of the company is left out of discussions and decisions made by the managers. Research Associates are not given the chance to think creatively and contribute to getting work done in a more efficient way.
Decisions are taken very rashly by management and their approach is that the accountability of such decisions falls back on the non-managers which makes no sense at all as we were not involved in taking the decision.
There is nothing challenging enough to do at work, it is pretty mundane and boring for the most part and there is no opportunity to gain new skills or diversify your experience.
April 2014
Work flexibility.
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
Pros: Environment, work culture, Intellectual.
Cons: Work alone, no team work, no corporate culture.
December 2013
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
Pros: People
Cons: Pay, Change Management
