Strickly limited growth opportunities even if one has achieved above and beyond their targets every year. Salary information is not transparent as not to allow employees to assess their true worth.

Pros: It has become nervwrecking constantly hitting the targets and being shown the carrot for yet another year.
Cons: The understanding of hierarchy is quite strong and those who have little improved over the years with technical competency enjoy more of perks based on their long and strategic relationships across the company. There is a fair amount of discrimination especially around pay which is prohibited to discuss and limitations put on talking about a pay rise to be matched with the people with the same level of job requirements
