QC Is Great.
Quality Control (QC) Technician:
Pros: I enjoy the variety of tasks, responsibilities, and functions/duties I perform.
Cons: Other people's inactions/actions directly impact my job, usually without warning. I am always scrambling to inspect a part that got expedited, locate certificates on materials at the last minute.

Understand GD & T.
Quality Control (QC) Technician:
Take a GD&T class. Understand that almost every blueprint you look at will use GD&T incorrectly. You will not get the impact of this until you understand the legal callouts as they are supposed to be used. Once you take the class, it will help you decipher what is put on the print vs what the customer really wants. It made a huge difference for me. Good luck!!

Cons: Office politics. Office favoritism. Lower than industry pay.
