Type of work, challenges, project management.
Project Manager, Construction:
Pros: I went to school to do exactly what I do everyday. I love my job. It is fairly flexible, if I had to leave for some reason, I could. We are like a little family.
Cons: I feel that I am under paid. I am the only one in our office with my Bachelor's Degree and I am the least paid. I am 23 and a female. It leads me to believe I am being discriminated. They have hired guys at pay more than I make, and again they have no further education but come in off the bat making more money and I work so hard. I am very dedicated and love my job whole-heartedly.

How you deal with people is the most important thing!
Project Manager, Construction:
Take care of tasks right away if possible so you don't forget. Write down as much as you can as reminders of work to be done. Don't let bad situations or difficult clients get to you because it will happen. Don't tell a client you can do something that may not be possible, or give an unrealistic timeline for a job just to please them, just be honest & realistic.

Leadership.
Project Manager, Construction:
The most important indicators to success in Project Management in the Real Estate, Design and Construction Industry are communication and ownership of the project. If you are buying a house, you pay attention to all costs, the schedule, and quality of workmanship and you communicate with contractor building the house. Treat projects assigned to you in the same manner and you will find that by simply caring enough, the client will feel the love.
