What is it like working as a Pastor?

November 2015
You must be well-grounded!
Pastor:
If you're called (by God and by a congregation) to serve as a pastor, not only are a deep biblical understanding and a love of helping people important, it is also crucial for your sense of identity and worth to stem directly from faith in a God who loves you and the world unconditionally. You'll be called upon to nurture and to challenge -- and your people will challenge you as well. Only a rock-solid faith can keep you focused on the vision for the congregation.

Pastor God's people.
Pastor:
Pros: The power of God is what I enjoy most about this job. Seeing how The Holy Spirit moves throughout the congregation on a weekly basis is a joy to behold.
Cons: The frustrating part about this job, is seeing people who say they want better for themselves, and their families get the information that they need, but yet do the opposite of what is required of them.
