Parts Manager:
Pros: I'm challenged on a daily basis with new tasks I have to teach myself and rarely but sometimes rewarded with a "thank you."
Cons: No breaks, high demand for productivity and VERY little pay. No recognition. Managers very unprofessional. Much illegal and immoral activity in the company, when reported, goes unaddressed. Those who report are punished and often constructively discharged. Laziness of technicians is condoned, if they are liked by their peers. Unpopular employees are heavily critiqued and reprimanded for things that they are not guilty of. Whole company overall, including the parts department is extremely disorganized, though I am helping to organize the one I am in charge of now.
