Operations Manager Reviews
What is it like working as an Operations Manager?
March 2014
Very Stressfull.
Operations Manager:
Give off your best all the time, everytime.

Be Hands On.
Operations Manager:
I feel it is very important to be "hands on" in every aspect of the business. Don't just rely on input from others but spend time in area of the company in need of attention and draw your own conclusions and solutions.
March 2014
Many Hats.
Operations Manager:
Pros: I manage a senior meal program and meals on wheels to senior residents (60 years older and up) in a small community. I believe in the concept of the program and have seen the benefits it provides.
Cons: I work alone and am allowed a limited amount of hours to perform many duties. I was strictly the site manager until program changes were made in our location. I now cook, answer phone, package (container, bag, seal) meals to be delivered, find volunteers, do daily and month end paperwork, bank deposits, program advocacy, prepare and send out suggested donation notices, order groceries and paper products, serve meals on site, all daily kitchen clean up, provide activities for the seniors, and more (not to mention all the incidentals that happen daily).
I am expected to perform these duties by my employer and realize that they all need to be done. Yet my employer allows me 27 hours per week only. This means nothing is done well or to its fullest potential. I am stretched to the max by the end of the week, and it makes the program itself look less than mediocre and extremely flawed.

Lots Of Responsibilities And Even More Tedious Work.
Operations Manager:
Pros: I like managing others and encouraging them to do better. We are a team and a compassionate yet stern leader is key to success.
Cons: I'm a sub contractor and I receive absolutely no benefits.
March 2014
Corporate Learning.
Operations Manager:
Pros: WNS offers great learning experiences to employees along with generating and giving employees opportunity to exercise the what you have learned
Cons: Pay scale.
February 2014
Low Pay, Long Hours.
Operations Manager:
Pros: Fast paced, growing company. Responsibility. Productive, efficient employees promoted. Benefits are good.
Cons: Low pay. No pay scale or levels. Slow in employee evaluations. Delay pay in some cases. Pay increases are expected to be through more hours worked (overtime).
February 2014
Corporate Culture.
Operations Manager:
Pros: Time shift at night so I can support my day time for education.
Cons: Communication.
