Constant Sprint.
Mechanical Engineer in Rockville:
Pros: work from home capable (for now)
Cons: constantly sprinting to keep up with a company that would rather make a short term profit than invest in a long term correction to mistakes and short changing decisions made 20 years ago. it is a never ending race to keep old engine programs aloft, constant push to keep a smile on the face lest be berated for showing any ounce of truth to the customer (internal or externally). it is a company with bureaucracy issues (ironic they removed the 'busting bureaucracy' slogan when that mission failed 3 years ago. work here if you want a cushy but demanding job and no future beyond the eventual failings of hardware already obsolete and given no funding or time to be properly designed.
