Master Scheduler Reviews
What is it like working as a Master Scheduler?
October 2014
Work flexibility, stress level.
Master Scheduler:
Pros: Working with people and achieving customer satisfaction.
Cons: Long hours.
January 2014
Hours.
Master Scheduler:
The hours could be better.
November 2013
Getting organized
Master Scheduler:
Pros: This is exactly what I was trained for, except nobody told me that a job shop of this size can be so busy. Planning capacity, materials and work order sequencing make my day go so fast I can barely notice lunch break. This is what I do for a living and have no regrets. Next step: production manager.
Cons: I am not in charge of the production, supervisors don't work for me, that's why I need to upgrade my position... Sometimes the pressure on production resources is too high, sales dpt expects too much, managers want quick profit /turnarounds, all this leads to a long hours ... not payed.
