What is it like working as a Marketing Coordinator?
February 2015
Marketing Coordinator:
Pros: Good environment, good employer, challenging.

Think about sitting all day...
Marketing Coordinator:
Before you go into a field like marketing, consider the amount of sitting you have to do and the effects it has on your health. I basically have to sit all day and look at a computer screen. Neither of which is great for my health. I really wish I considered this before going into a field where I have to sit most of the day.

Marketing Coordinator:
A marketing coordinator needs to have the ability to adapt to change and deviations from the origional plan. One needs to become flexible and adaptable, because nothing is routine. Things change and so will your plans, it's better to have that understanding before taking on the job.
My advise to you, would be to understand exactly what is require of you, what resources you have available to you (yes, budget is a big one that definately cannot be made bigger, but will more than likely cause constraints to you plans). Know who your resources, and mentors are - they can provide invaulable insight and methods to do things differently. And most importantly, look at feedback in a constuctive light - dont get demoralised when people tell you no, or to preform your task differently. Remember marketing appeals to the masses, people who know your business, and people who don't - it is your job to try find an unique way to appeal to all types of people in one method that is effective.
