Management Consultant Reviews
What is it like working as a Management Consultant?
October 2023
Variable depending on your project and team.
Management Consultant in Chicago:
Pros: You don’t have to work hard if you don’t want to.
Cons: Incompetent people are kept around for the wrong reasons.
January 2023
Exciting and challenging work.
Management Consultant in Atlanta:
Pros: Ability to change and learn new skills regularly
Cons: Bureaucracy tends to stifle things at times
January 2023
Sadly going downhill.
Management Consultant in Houston:
Pros: Great people to work with. At one time a industry leader in company culture, truly a great place to work. Not as much recently which is upsetting. Little to no travel requirement or forced overtime hours.
Cons: Lower pay than most others in the industry. Projects aren’t glamorous or engaging a majority of the time. Management makes baffling decisions that directly hurt morale, compensation, and benefits. What was once a very open company has become very secretive and scary to be a part of. No bonuses for the third year in a row, no communication this year about having no bonuses either. Tone deaf communications about promoting executive level resources to higher (differently named) executive roles and welcoming many new resources after layoffs, spending freezes, and removal of bonuses. Sad that one bad quarter can kneecap a previously great place to work so greatly.
December 2022
Work with smart people.
Management Consultant in Washington:
Pros: The flexibility of work, projects, and time
Cons: Pay is below average on expensive cities
December 2022
Interesting data driven consulting work.
Management Consultant in Johannesburg:
Pros: Access to data and platforms to back your recommendations. Well-established frameworks.
Cons: Compensation does not feel market related
December 2022
I recommend 100% working for Globant.
Management Consultant in Madrid:
Pros: Through these years I always had the possibility to do everything that I wanted, my career was boosted by this freedom
Cons: My salary pay
November 2022
Typical Startup Chaos with Poorly Managed Processes.
Management Consultant in Washington:
Pros: Nothing to put here.
Cons: MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE. THE UPPER MANAGEMENT FAILED TO SET THE PROCESSES required for us to do our jobs right. A lack of set processes meant we had to take on extra stress and work to exhaustion. I ask everyone to avoid this chaos!
