Interior Designer Reviews
What is it like working as an Interior Designer?
December 2020
Improving.
Interior Designer in Topeka:
Pros: Renovations of old buildings and making the downtown an area people want to visit
Cons: Commuting
November 2020
An inspiring place to work.
Interior Designer in Dubai:
Pros: I love the people and the culture that we have built in the Middle East for the past few years. I also like working on a variety of projects within the region and elsewhere.
Cons: There is still a bit of politics within the leadership and management, but there are people who are willing to transform to become the firm that we say we are.
November 2020
Interior designer not happy.
Interior Designer in Johannesburg:
Pros: Getting to explore bold and soft tones of colour and having fun
Cons: Getting paid an unfair salary
September 2020
Unorganized, Mistreated, some Fun.
Interior Designer in Austin:
Pros: Working with Customers on Designing their homes, having regular customers, flexible scheduling, new direct management that arrived two days ago, mostly cool coworkers
Cons: The lack of organization from management, proper in-person training they have yet to make time for in a month, being mistreated by my previous direct manager and wood dept manager, not being respected as a designer/being treated like another associate, nearly impossible to take rest breaks or lunch on weekends, difficult to get a meeting with management, HR treated me like dirt, and I’m fairly certain the other designer who is male is being paid more than me. I’ll be speaking to management about this. No work life balance emotionally.
August 2020
Underrated.
Interior Designer in Cairo:
Pros: More chance of interaction and exploring.
Cons: Price rates are very low. Rarely a professional environment. Rarely health insurance or bonuses.
July 2020
Love my job, do not agree with management operations.
Interior Designer in Pretoria:
Pros: Educating young adults to excell in industry
Cons: Mismanagement of the company I work for.
July 2020
Does this company listen to their smoke?
Interior Designer in Seattle:
Pros: I like designing and meeting with all of the employees and residents at each community. I also really enjoy working with our vetted contractors because they are very real and honest people.
Cons: I feel that the COVID crisis has not been handled appropriately by the company. I feel they are not sensitive to the safety of their employees and somehow believe that the image of an employee in their desk seat, means work is getting done, but at home and safe (where the secondary shelter in place, effective 07/02/20 has said "if you CAN work from home, then you are working from home." I feel that the company has completely put all of their employees at risk of the virus, not to mention, all of their families at home.
