Small Town Big Dreams.
Insurance Agent in Mountain View:
Pros: I love that being in such a small town networking with people seems easier and knowing your customers and what they need on a personal level is more realistic than in other settings.
Cons: The rate of pay is so far behind most places, weather and tourism often can destroy your income. Being so small not many options or competition for your job.

Cons: Lack of communication from direct management. Lack of content from work requests. Same pay review. Lack of progression

Micromanagement, low wage, corporate pressure.
Insurance Agent in Kamloops:
Pros: Good benefits/vacation time, most customers were straightforward and easy to deal with, good rapport with colleagues in other departments, opportunity to grow to commercial producing or management, get certifications.
Cons: Management was extremely hostile and micromanaging while providing no direction leaving my colleagues to train me as much as they could. Little to no foot traffic, leaving long periods of downtime. Wage is incredibly low in comparison to other insurance brokers. Opportunity to grow comes at a dear expense of your well-being for a period of time.
