Instructional Designer Reviews

What is it like working as an Instructional Designer?

December 2023
Satisfied with the position and company.
Instructional Designer in Baton Rouge:
Pros: Work from home options Trusted to complete work independently Great benefits for families
Cons: PTO is accrued, not automatically issued
April 2023
100% remote.
Instructional Designer in Jersey City:
Pros: It’s my home so it’s amazing.
Cons: Not being able to connect with my coworkers like usual. But I would rather be home than travel to the office.
March 2023
Down to earth, a true blessing.
Instructional Designer in Tel Aviv:
Pros: Probably one of the best medium sized organizations out there. Management is transparent, you are trusted to achieve your goals, flexible hours, competitive pay, world leading subject matter experts working on cutting edge technology, CEO is loved and inspiring, respectful culture, diverse, outstanding RSU and ESPP plans, focal raises, pensions and health insurance, PTO, long maternity leave for both sexes, accomplishments get praised and worker is highly valued.
Cons: * NVIDIA could do more 'fun days' or office activities. Although my team works remote, we only have a 'just for fun' meeting once a year on average. I don't think NVIDIA does enough to maintain social interaction while working from home, or frontal meetings at the office. * NVIDIA has a 'no fire policy', unless of course it's due to financial related layoffs. This is great for employees, but even lousy not productive employees don't get fired.
December 2022
Underpaid but I love the work I do.
Instructional Designer in New York:

Cons: Lack of processes in place for salary scales and development
September 2022
Lower pay and higher expectations, while working in smog.
Instructional Designer in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Being close to hiking and nature
Cons: Air pollution-arsenic in the air and traffic
September 2022
Instructional Design is My Happy Place.
Instructional Designer in San Antonio:
Pros: Not micromanaged, always learning.
Cons: Not enough team interaction. I fell like I am not compensated as well as others on my team.
August 2022
Tedious but relaxed.
Instructional Designer in Tampa:
Pros: I don’t feel rushed to complete projects, therefore so can produce quality work.
Cons: They say there is pay transparency, but I haven’t seen it.
