Pros: I like the fact that I get to contribute towards the security of my company. This is a huge job and I take pride in doing this. In doing my job successfully I get to do the following: 1) Ensure least minimum privilege is in place. 2) Ensure anti-virus is operational on all workstations. 3) Ensuring firewall is in place at the external perimeter. 4) Ensuring monthly vulnerability scanning is conducted both internally and externally. 5) Ensuring that annual internal and external pen testing is conducted.
Cons: There is very little not to like about my job. The only thing that comes to mind is that things may get a little monotonous after time.
