Pros: Many things to keep occupied with.
Cons: Some departments refuse to acknowledge HR compliance rules/policies, no promotion ladder in some positions, wages below market value for some positions. Frequent miscommunications/lack of communication. Need more enforcement of covid rules and clearer guidelines on rules surrounding it for seasonal associates.

The pay scale for anyone who is not a high ranking scientist is extremely low for San Diego. They pay their administrative assistants an almost unlivable wage for where they live. They seem to pay women less than men also. There is a lot of favoritism and people who do not have as much experience as others get promotions when others are more deserving or more qualified.
