An ever changing and rewarding career
Forester:
Pros: There are many facets of working as a forester that can be enjoyable. For a start, a Forester is characterized as a "Jack of all trades, Master of none". Because of this, a person my specialize in a sub field of forestry, but is also able to dabble in others. As a Management Forester, a person can never be too sure what the day is going to bring them. Living in a dynamic time where from one day to the next major or minor issues can crop up or simmer down with little to no warning. As a career, it is good if you do not want much repetition.
Cons: One of the main task that a management forester needs to do is to weigh values. By definition, a value is something that a person feels passionately about. Often, values are conflicting, and from time to time a management forester will need to make a decision that will be very unpopular with some, but will be for the greater good.
