Florist Reviews
What is it like working as a Florist?
October 2017
Queen of Floral.
Florist in Clemson:
Pros: I love the small town college atmosphere, friendliness and family.
I love college football and the Clemson Tigers, 2016 National Champions. It is great to be able to drive down a two lane road and get coffee, stop at the post office, get gas, go to the library and the grocery store. Having the students here is exciting. I love it.
Cons: I would love to see a movie theater here, but the town of Clemson is great. I can't think of anything I don't like.
April 2016
I love it.
Florist:
Pros: Working with flowers and customer service, creating and helping, wedding work.
Cons: Newer shop so not very busy days, not a lot of designers work here and often alone doing all the work for a dollar above the unskilled employees.
January 2016
Bridezillas.
Florist:
Pros: Working with plants on a daily basis.
Cons: Constant stress from difficult Brides and their families during weddings. College didn't prepare me enough for the job and I needed retraining from the company I worked with. I was fired because of lack of design experience.
January 2016
Florist:
•take as many photos as you can at TAFE.
•Practice as much with real flowers as you can, getting quick.
•Start a Corporate folder with ideas.
•get as much info of the business before starting work.

Stress Level And Pay.
Florist:
Pros: Customer happy with your work and praise it.
Cons: When customers are all coming at the same time and everyone needs individual care. Work in the night time and weekend but no over time pay.
October 2013
Florist:
Pros: The beautiful creations I create, the beautiful flowers, some of the customers, being the one in charge...
Cons: The stress, mostly at the busiest times such as mother's day, Christmas, Valentine's Day... Some expectations of customers are unreasonable.
