Fundamental requirements of the Executive Assistant (EA) role is the ability to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and remain focused. The landscape is ever changing for an EA so you must be flexible and adapt, with each day bringing a set of new tasks and challenges. Be as organsies and well-prepared as you can so your CEO/Executive can depend on you, listen and record as much information as possible. Trust is the most important attribute and must be earnt while being sincere. Lastly having the insight to read people especially your bosses, from what pace they like to do things in, what they need from you, their response time and their behaviour under stress will all be invaluable during your working tenure.

Must be organized, able to multi-task, work well under stress, make quick decisions, work with little supervision, able to work under someone that micro-manages, detail oriented, meticulous, excellent software skills, coordinating meetings and events, making travel arrangements, calendar management, gate keeper, must anticipate executive's needs.
