Be prepared to do 12 months of work within the 9 month school year, especially when you first start. As an elementary school teacher you seldom get a full hour of plan each day and when you do it's not enogh time to get everything prepared. Key is to use every minute wisely before school, clean up as your finishing activities with the class, use 5 min here and there wisely and don't forget to have some boundaries and have time at home for you and your family (without you cutting lamination.)
