What is it like working as an Economist?

August 2022
Good place to learn and grow your career with great team.
Economist in Montréal:
Pros: Great
Cons: We need a decent office and more in p3rson activities
August 2022
Compelling Work, Remote/Flexible Options are Laughable and Behind the Times.
Economist in Columbia:
Pros: Interesting and challenging work that directly affects the state or provides important context to decision makers. The people are nice and there is plenty of room for growth and development.
Cons: The lack of remote/flexible work is directly causing employees to leave and increasing the workload on remaining employees. When the private sector and many other state governments has embraced remote/hybrid work, there is little chance of attracting quality workers. That and some of the political stances in the state are unpalatable and make me want to run away and never come back.
November 2019
Cost of living is expensive.
Economist in Port Moresby:
Pros: I love the cools breeze from the sea and eating fresh organic vegetables
Cons: Hate confronting beggars on the street
November 2019
Opportunity to learn new things every day.
Economist in Petaling Jaya:
Pros: The benefits
Cons: Not enough snacks at the pantry
July 2019
It is a great starting point.
Economist in Durban:

Cons: Managerial style. Low compensation. Lack of growth
