Pretty city with pretty awful traffic.
Director of Communications in Sydney:

Unhealthy.
Director of Communications in New Delhi:

October 2019
Plenty of Potential.
Director of Communications in Charlottesville:
Pros: I enjoy the level of autonomy the position provides, and the ability to create the structures and strategy for my department. I deeply enjoy working with the student volunteers.
Cons: I dislike the clear pay inequity among staff. Management struggles with mentorship, and it sometimes doesn't feel as if the staff can depend on management for advocacy and support.
October 2019
Difficult but successful.
Director of Communications in Los Angeles:
Pros: The challenge and the reward.
Cons: The lack of communication among the rest of management is tituss and at times making it harder than normal to work with. This is why I am pursuing another career elsewhere.
May 2019
Working in Richmond is a Dream!
Director of Communications in Richmond:
Pros: People here are easygoing and friendly, there's no real traffic to speak of, I live close to work, and it's generally quite liberal, which works well for me.
Cons: Opportunity gaps between the races are cruelly obvious due to decades of segregation and economic disenfranchisement of people of color. Also, it's kind of tough to advance in one's career without jumping around unless you're in medicine, banking, or education.
April 2019
Called.
Director of Communications in Columbus:
Pros: finding out that something I did brought someone here and eventually led them to Christ - planting seeds
Cons: Feeling like I have no voice or my opinion, research & expertise do not matter
March 2019
Easy to raise a family.
Director of Communications in Cincinnati:
Pros: The culture
Cons: no beach
