February 2015
Dietary Manager:
Pros: I like that I get to ensure that my residents are getting adequate nutrition and that the food they eat is safe and healthy for them.
Cons: I am constantly putting out fires so to speak.
January 2015
Dietary Manager:
Pros: Dealing with the elderly residents on a daily basis. Making a difference in their lives on a daily basis. I get to work with food and nutrition which is what I love and I work with great staff. My hours are flexible and I work close to home.
Cons: Dealing with staffing issues can be a challenge and sometimes the workload is very stressful. There are no extra perks and the pay is not up to standard. Most of the time work overtime and don't get paid for it. If ask for raise, would never get it, is all based on corporates directive. If they say it's 1% then it's 1% it doesn't matter how you perform.
