Positive environment, congested city.
Desktop Support Technician in Sydney:
Pros: My employer pays a good salary for my position which works with the average living expenses in Sydney and NSW. I don’t know how other techs would earn any less if they want to eventually own a home or comfortably live on their own. You don’t need a degree if you have strong skills and experience in their field. Certifications and ongoing education is usually recommended.
Cons: Traffic. Getting to and from work to a workshop or office can take one to two ours each way per day. Even if you live closer to the city. Though working from home seems to resolve this problem for some types of techs and engineers. Sydney is a tight city with small narrow streets.
October 2021
Very stressful and demanding.
Desktop Support Technician in Johannesburg:
Pros: The people
Cons: The fact that they deduct a study levy, than take very long to decline your request
