Pros: The patients.
Cons: The top heavy administration. The lack of pay. The overload of work putting 2 positions into one workload and not paying for it. The politics and bullying. Terrible HR department - no advication for the employees.

The people are nice and most have been at Maimonides for many years. The faculty is supportive and try to be helpful. Compensation is lower than Manhattan if I had to guess. The benefits are comparable to other hospitals.

Pathetic pay and it doesn't amtter if you work really hard and efficiently or simply do the bare minimum; hard work is not rewarded.

Things Not Seen.
Department Administrator:
As my job progressed I am involved in more and more programs. I have been expected to train and be the go between upper management and the floor workers. I am told to train or be the floor employees go to guy but I cannot make any decisions concerning them. Now I am being asked to be pert of the new hire orientation program but am not being compensated for any of the things that are not in my job description.
