Data Scientist Reviews
What is it like working as a Data Scientist?
December 2021
Good environment, low pay.
Data Scientist in Seattle:
Pros: The culture is laid back and we’re building data science operations from the ground up
Cons: They need to get data scientist salaries aligned with industry. They also need to stop hiring people without graduate degrees in STEM fields as data scientists, certificates don’t cut it
November 2021
Great place to work.
Data Scientist in Houston:
Pros: Stable work, great learning environment, wonderful team, solid benefits
Cons: Pay could be better, sometimes corporate politics can get in the way of effective work
October 2021
Melbourne is a great city to work in.
Data Scientist in Melbourne:
Pros: The nightlife is great to unwind after work
Cons: COVID lockdowns are long and hard
September 2021
Very busy and not much of WLB.
Data Scientist in Chicago:
Pros: Being treated well. Working with friendly and motivated people.
Cons: Very busy and not much of work-life balance.
August 2021
Data Scientist in Cherry Hill:
Management does not care about workers and is only interested in keeping appearances to Wall Street. Hard work is not rewarded and is often instead punished. There are never clear objectives set and discussions for promotions are often delayed until eventually cancelled with no explanation. HR helps to perpetuate these issues and often does not follow their own rules.
August 2021
Great Culture.
Data Scientist in Washington:
Pros: I enjoy the opportunity to learn new skills and solve new problems.
Cons: Too few people in my field
August 2021
I am very happy with my role.
Data Scientist in San Jose:
Pros: The fact that I am doing relevant things related to Data Science is what I like most about my job.
Cons: I do not have much control on my pay, meaning that I am not allowed to negotiate my salary. This makes me feel like I'm not been paid what I'm actually worth.
