Customer Service Advisor Reviews

What is it like working as a Customer Service Advisor?

January 2014
Head Office.
Customer Service Advisor:
Pros: Good company with a lot of opportunites.
Cons: Some of the promised opportunites don't always come to fruition.
January 2014
Customer Service Advisor:
Pros: Satisfying customers.
Cons: Not having proper training, not getting any rewards.
November 2013
Interesting
Customer Service Advisor:
Pros: Dealing with customers. Liasing with insurers. Compensating customers who deserve it. Being able to put a situation right if our company has done wrong.
Cons: No feedback from manager. Manager doesn't want us to pass difficult customers to him. Angry disrespectful customers who shout at you when you are trying to assist them. Being undermined. Working in a small office with no windows to the outside or appropriate lighting and air con.
October 2013
Customer Service Advisor:
Pros: Speaking to & helping customers.
Cons: The training is inconsistent. The person that has trained you, can tell you one thing one day then when you're given feedback, which can be a couple of weeks later, you're told that you should be doing something else by this person. The person is not even a qualified trainer but one of the reps who has been there about 5 years and is 'in with the management'!! There seems to be no consistency. It's a case of if your face fits, then you're all right and if it doesn't it is very uncomfortable. There is a lot of 'back stabbing' within the department that I work in which makes it an comfortable atmosphere to work in.
