November 2019
Chongqing: Make a Decent Living while in China.
Creative Director in Chongqing:
Pros: Blend of Chinese culture with modern sensibilities at a low cost of living.
Cons: Unclear expectations between Chinese and foreign professionals.
October 2019
Creative Director in Boston:
Terrible leadership. From the CEO on down. Micromanagement, bullying, no trust in employee expertise, constant layoffs and falling revenues due to bad decision making. The CEO makes over $7M a year in compensation while employees get no raises, no promotions and constant fear of being let go due to falling profits. Gender pay discrimination is the least of the issues. CEO and other C-suite currently in lawsuits for fraud.
October 2019
Not what I expected.

Cons: culture of the business is based on Nepotism.
October 2019
Billable hours above meaningful hours.

Pros: I have been able to find and maintain some valuable work relationships despite the anonymous globalization and abstraction of the work.
Cons: The only conversation is around billable hours at the risk of being fired.
October 2019
Good pay mixed with low cost of living.
Creative Director in Phoenix:
Pros: Booming tech scene, growing urban development/ gentrification, low cost of living with good tech salaries for area mean more bang for your buck
Cons: It’s a small city, pay is relatively lower than other comparable cities in the region
