KC is a very creative community.
Creative Director in Kansas City:
Pros: Kansas City has a lot of creative energy with lots of creative people competing for the best creative jobs. The city is a great place to live with a reasonable cost of living with lots of things to do such as galleries, sporting events, and great dining.
Cons: The city is quite homogeneous. There are not many cultural hot spots within the city such as a China Town or other diverse cultures. It is a rather conservative city. The jobs for higher creative levels is more limited than in larger cities.
October 2016
Pro and Cons.
Creative Director:
Pros: Hospitality Industry is very new to me, however, education is not, as my family are well surrounded with people from the education sector. Understanding the values behind the work ethics in the industry is not that much different from where I came from. Learning is a great factor that I decided to continuously stay in this job, able to learn new things everyday and interaction with various nationality / race and culture excites my creative thinking.
Cons: However great the company is, coming from a multinational corporation and going to a family owned business is a big transition for me. Work culture needs a big change and having to implement it to people who has been quite used to be in their comfort zone is a major wrecking ball to anyone with a different output and outlook on the matter. When the world is moving, one must always try to evaluate themselves and keep up with the ever changing time.
September 2016
Creative, demanding, dynamic.

Cons: Unstructured and lacking in a strong budget plan.

Cons: The pay does not meet my financial goals.
July 2016
Best Dream Job!
Creative Director:
Pros: I love the collaboration and strategic thinking that comes with this position. Each week I have a new creative project that I dream up and then follow to fruition. It's wonderful.
Cons: Haven't really found a negative that is greater than a simple change in direction.
