What is it like working as a Copywriter?
September 2015
The Plight of the Young Writer.
Copywriter:
Pros: The freedom to research, learn and write on numerous topic is fun and makes my job worthwhile.
Cons: My salary isn't enough to live on. Despite working as a freelancer and having a degree my employer didn't consider running my own business while I was studying relevant experience. Working I'd a small business I'd tough - I'm expected to fill more roles than were agreed upon or that are specified in my contract.

There's an opportunity everywhere.
Copywriter:
Write creatively whenever and wherever you can. From customer service feedback forms to the obligatory "happy birthday" messages on Facebook. Not everyone will like what you write. Use that to improve yourself. Stay hungry.
June 2015
Writer for Hire.
Copywriter:
Pros: If you work at a smaller company or startup, sometimes you get a nice amount of creative license, especially if the brand is still under development. You get to help set the tone of the brand and sometimes write about things that interest you. Since more and more e-commerce companies are trying to offer their shoppers interesting content, you get to go beyond straightforward product copy, which tends to be drier.
Cons: As a writer for hire for an e-commerce company, you can expect to shill products you don't necessarily believe in. Writers are also generally undervalued at companies, in terms not just of compensation but of perceived importance to the company. Many people will think your job is easy and/or not time-consuming, but of course they're wrong.

Concept. Write. Repeat.
Copywriter:
Pros: Writing headlines, concepting campaigns and creating new, original ideas.
Cons: There can be unfulfilling and/or boring work sometimes.
September 2014
The Roving Copywriter.
Copywriter:
Pros: I get paid to write, which is cool because writing is my passion. And I can wear, sneakers, and hoodies every day, which is awesome.
Cons: I don't feel like my job makes any difference in the world. I feel like I should love it, because it's a creative position, but aside from my dress code, it's just like any other job.
February 2014
Overworked And Underpaid.
Copywriter:
Pros: Get exposed to lots of different industries.
Cons: The amount of unpaid overtime I have to work.
The lack of organisation/management.
Unrealistic deadlines.
January 2014
Ms-excel.

Pros: I can do a good Copy paste work in ms-excel with very fast as possible.
Cons: Weekness in Communication.
