Cons: Nothings actually bad. It is just that scope of skill set improvement is limited.

At First I thought I was going to be like a field tech, thankfully, I was wrong. I am a trusted advisor, a person who comes in, solves problems, and hopefully builds relationships from that.

Challenging And Rewarding In Equal Measures And Never Boring.
Consulting Engineer:
Pros: Diverse range of projects and systems makes for interesting and rewarding work. Mentally challenging. Opportunity to travel and attend site visits/inspections (i.e. Not stuck in an office all day) Rewarding and satisfying (to see a building project from start to finish) The endless range of tasks this job brings means no two days are the same.
Cons: Stressful. Work long hours. Frequently have to juggle several projects at once (ranging from large to very small) and deal with all the associated emails and correspondence this brings with it.
