Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter Reviews
What is it like working as a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter?
September 2023
Drafting for Leonard Peterson.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafter in Opelika:
Pros: I enjoy the work. I like that something I've drawn is being used by kids in schools all over the country. They are very lenient about taking time to deal with home emergencies and sick children. I like the relationships I've made with several of our dealers across the country.
Cons: People in the office hate each other. They are at each other, everyday. They hold the same grudges they've had for 20 years. It is an open office so everyone hears everyone else's issues and arguments. There is no advancement. Any opportunity I've been given for advancement has been met with open hostility by my supervisor. There is a buddy system here. New ideas are "stupid" unless they come from certain people in the office. I've been drafting for 20 plus years and I am still making entry level pay. Medical insurance takes almost half my check.
April 2023
Best First Job.
