What is it like working as a Compensation Analyst?

December 2022
Best place to work!
Compensation Analyst in Provo:
Pros: I love working with my direct supervisor--she is amazing and the most understanding when life happens. I've been contacted with multiple opportunities (even some with higher compensation), but I choose to stay where I'm at because I love who I work with and what I do.
Cons: There are some employees who are not as understanding when things come up. Fortunately, those employees are not in my job hierarchy.

Pros: Work flexibility, the creativity of the staff, and the working conditions.
Cons: Inherent politics that go into selecting policies.
January 2020
An organization that runs lean and chaotic.
Compensation Analyst in Philadelphia:
Pros: I like my manager and some of the projects I get to work on
Cons: No differentiation in pay for performance despite what is communicated. Too slow of a development timeline for high performers so turnover hits the wrong people. Bad pay practices for average worker and excessive executive pay.
