Business Valuation Associate Reviews
What is it like working as a Business Valuation Associate?
April 2017
Good bang for the buck.
Business Valuation Associate in Minneapolis:
Pros: Affordable compared to peer metros and many decent to good areas to live in.
Highly diversified economy and little reliance on (read vulnerability to) any one major industry.
Access to great recreational activities and entertainment options.
Passable communications, good airport with decent amount of international direct flights.
Distinct seasons: Fantastic summers, great falls, and lots of Hockey!
Cons: The Twin Cities are isolated from other metros.
Winters comes early and it gets old after a while.
With a diversified economy, there are many generalists but few specialists. Tech sector is small.
Downtown Minneapolis is mostly filled typical American downtown emptiness (albeit densifying and growing) after business hours and weekends.
Poor public transportation options and lots of local opposition to investments in infrastructure other than auto-centric investments.
