November 2013
Not a good proposition with Frost & Sullivan
Business Development Manager:
Pros: I get to learn a lot about the business climate in India and other Asian countries. Faced to challenges in terms of compensation and sales commission from the employer. And in terms of getting business from Indian clients. And to top it all, face the internal politics in the company. Combined, all these make my learning very strong.
Cons: The job is interesting, but it is the package that is far below the industry standard and is making one feel very less enthusiastic about this job. There are lot of variations in the payscale in the company, and I am paid much below the salary of a typical manager in business development role. The company gives commission after one year, it is pathetic case and makes one lack the trust in his place of work.

What my true value would be to the company
Business Development Manager:
Negotiate a higher value of ones self before commiting to a start salary. Understand the company goals / expectations
November 2013

Pros: I enjoy meeting new people, building relationships with customers and ultimately finding new business and closing deals.
Cons: The stress levels and pressure to reach certain targets can make life difficult
October 2013
Lack of support
Business Development Manager:
Get all the facts regarding commitment for growth.
October 2013
More about the industry.
Business Development Manager:
I landed on my feet in a great company, but I could have given myself a head start by researching the industry thoroughly before joining.
