What is it like working as an Associate Director, Career Services?
February 2016
You Have Experience. Use it!
Associate Director, Career Services:
Everything you have learned in your career can help students be prepared when they face challenges in theirs. There is a lot they don't know, and some ask for help and some will shy away from you because they have a hard time asking for help. Either way, approach them with empathy and compassion. They are learning.
And remember the women will face different challenges than the men. International students have different challenges than American residents. Do your best to keep communication open so they can come to your for help.
