Assistant Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education in Denver:
I have been teaching at the college / university level for 25 years. I never had an annual review lower than excellent until the new administration at Red Rocks Community College arrived around 5 years ago. It is now the worst environment I have ever worked in and despite having been chosen Professor of the Year 4 of the last 5 years, I have been given the lowest rating possible these past five years. Vice President of Instruction Linda Comeaux is by far the worst manager of any school or company I have ever worked for. It’s not that she’s necessarily incompetent- it’s her drive for total control through abusive and insulting techniques that stands out. There are currently three investigations underway by the EEOC, and on Monday a fourth will be filed - mine.

Dalian Branch Severely Underpaid and Underappreciated.
Assistant Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education in Noblesville:
Pros: I love teaching the Chinese students who come to class eager to learn.
Cons: The fact that I worked at the Dalian Branch campus, I hated that MSU actually hires all of the faculty and administration through the Chinese university. In fact, not even the Associate Dean of Academics in Dalian is an employee of MSU. The Faculty in China is severely underpaid and under appreciated by the US based administration. The admin in China are awesome.
