Keep your options open and never settle for the status quo. There's always room for improvement and that career advancement opportunity could be available before you have any idea. This job can be stressful, but it's rewarding if you like to make people happy. Empathy goes a long way with guests and employees, but so does discipline and rules.

Cons: Sales, guest complaints, pay, catty drama, lazy employees, stress level, never closes, no benefits.

Pros: I enjoy meeting new people and being able to give them that "wow" factor when staying at our hotel.
Cons: The millions of things I have to do because we are understaffed.

Cons: I do not like how lazy all of the employee's are. It makes my job more stressful because I do not get paid enough to pick up everyones slack.
