Apprentice Electrician Reviews
What is it like working as an Apprentice Electrician?
August 2020
If you’re a female in the field you are treated unfairly.
Apprentice Electrician in Roanoke:
Pros: My current supervisor treats me fair and like an actual person
Cons: The way the other employees in the office and in the field treat me
August 2020
The Contractors Local.
Apprentice Electrician in Ashburn:
Pros: Working hands on to accomplish physical and Mental goals
Cons: No communication with upper union managers. The reality is the union functions like the current senate, no sings of intelligence. The nickname, the contractors local, is not a joke as the union will almost certainly side with the employer during workplace disputes.
June 2020
There is plenty of work with a wide variety of customers.
Apprentice Electrician in Newport News:
Pros: The variety of type of work
Cons: There are low income neighborhoods which can mean unsafe or unsanitary working conditions.
June 2020
Working in London.
Apprentice Electrician in London:
Pros: What I like most about working in London is being part of big projects.
Cons: I least like the travel to and from London
April 2020
Terrible.
Apprentice Electrician in Lexington:
Pros: N/A
Cons: Everything—from the way that your co-workers and managers treat you like you’re an idiot, yell at you, and just flat out are disrespectful toward you. All of a sudden, after 4 years of being with this company, and during a worldwide pandemic, they decide that we have to accrue our PTO time. Which, they didn’t bother to tell me, until I had taken 3 days off in a row (so I had 3 days without pay). There isn’t quality communication, the entire company is a mess and needs shut down.
April 2020
Underappreciated and not valued.
Apprentice Electrician in Wareham:
Pros: Coworkers
Cons: Not valued and favoritism due to other coworkers knowing family/friends within the company.
March 2020
Apprentice Electrician in Toowoomba:
Pros: Different job opportunities and the opportunity to travel away for work.
Cons: The company is working under an EBA agreement and I feel as if I’m being well underpaid.
