Cons: Supervisor do not share, No Training, not paid well.

Application Support Specialist:
Pros: Planning executing and analysing laboratory experiments and data associated with them. Proposing remedial actions to production problems.
Cons: No financial reward for the technical abilities and contributions.

Pros: Helping solve software related issues and providing great service to the users that are experiencing issues.
Cons: Not very team oriented. Not much support when problems arise that don't occur often. Working with time sensitive people that hold you responsible for their own lack of computer knowledge.

How to get people to listen. How to justify a recommendation to upper management. Short-cuts in the application that allows you to find the issue faster. Create or build knowledge base database with issues and the solutions.
