What is it like working as an Administrative Coordinator?

November 2014
Payroll and all administration.
Administrative Coordinator:
Pros: Responsible for difficult and complicated matters.
Cons: Non professional and non qualified managers.
November 2014
Administrative Coordinator:
Time management, attention to detail, pro-active, work dedication, team player and manage stress well.
November 2014
Administrative Coordinator:
Pros: The upside is working with different personalities and age groups and knowing how to transition between each one while staying completely neutral. The responsibility to be able to apply new ideas which in turn increase work flow or implementing new procedures that are more efficient is a task I have always enjoyed.
Cons: The stress level can fluctuate at any given time and being able to adapt to arising situations is a skill that will be tested in this position. Dealing with situations regarding employee disputes and employee mistakes that escalate to a company expense, were the only things about this position that would be the most stressful for me.
July 2014
That I wouldn't be paid better.
Administrative Coordinator:
To be vigilant and research properly.
July 2014
Technical Writing.
Administrative Coordinator:
Sit down, hold tight, listen and learn; then fake it until you make it. It will all come together in time.
June 2014
City Government Culture.
Administrative Coordinator:
Pros: I like helping people and solving problems. Learning to be an expert in my field makes me feel valued and helpful. The work atmosphere is not hostile and work relationships are good.
Cons: With the economic downturn, positions have been cut and each person is taking on more work with no additional pay. Raises if given are 5 years between and when received are only 2% which doesn't keep up with the increase in health care expenses. Essentially I have gone backwards in pay each year that I have worked here.
April 2014
Coordinator Review.
Administrative Coordinator:
Pros: The best part of my job is working with music. I like that I am in an office and it is a secure job. It's not very stressful.
Cons: It's a lot of data entry. There are times where I feel like I am not learning anything new.
