FUTURE.

THE JOB OFFERS NO PROMOTIONS AT ALL.

It Is Challenging But Exciting.
Administrative Assistant:
Pros: I learn how to do everyone's job and I can bridge into any department. I am always the first to be called for exciting events, new tasks and projects and work closely with the director.
Cons: Sometimes not having a focused task in the organisation makes one vulnerable to abuse.

You Are Worthy Of A Fair Living Wage!
Administrative Assistant:
As long as women don't stand up for themselves they will always get paid lower wages. I know, I know. We usually don't like to rock the boat, and those that do rock the boat are thought of in a negative manor. However, how long have we been waiting employers for to do the right thing? While they are out on the golf course and dining on the company credit card, we are eating sack lunches. While they are driving new cars every three years and have company gas cards, we are scrounging to pay for an oil change five thousand miles over the suggested oil change recommendation. Our work is important and rather than it be US vs THEM, if we respect each other and people are paid fairly, then we can feel as we are an integral part of a team.

Administrative Assistant.
Administrative Assistant:
Keep learning new things, don't be afraid to move around the company and learn new positions but make sure you are compensated for the extra work.
February 2014
Job Duties.
Administrative Assistant:
That he would have informed me of all the "new" duties he comes up with for me to do: new forms that need filling out, new things to look after for accountants, dealing with the government agencies about issues, cleaning the office.
