Activity Assistant Reviews

What is it like working as an Activity Assistant?

July 2021
Rewarding to the resident at BAPTIST VILLAGE.
Activity Assistant in Waycross:
Pros: the activity director
Cons: recent salary pay raise was to be across the board but that was not true
August 2020
Activity Assistant in Redwood City:
Very rewarding, very enjoyable. I liked that it was always a clean and happy place for the residents and staff with very supportive owners and managers. The culture is one of caring for each other, helping each other to be able to give good service to the residents that we treat as our own parents, which is the nature of Filipinos. We are mostly Filipinos working there and as a race, we are known to be caring, respectful, hardworking and kind.

I work in Markle, IN, actually. (That was not one of the choices on the survey.
Activity Assistant in Fort Wayne:
Pros: I don't work in Fort Wayne. I like working in Markle because it is close to home. I would consider working in Fort Wayne for a higher pay rate and benefits.
Cons: I don't like working in Markle because compensation is very low and they do not reward perfect attendance or longevity with a higher pay rate. They start new hires and high school students at a much higher rate than dependable seasoned hard-workers.
December 2019
Caring.
Activity Assistant in Indianapolis:

Cons: Communication between staff and rate of pay

April 2019
Activity Assistant in Saratoga Springs:

Cons: I do not get paid enough for the work that has been added to my responsibilities.
November 2015
Activity Assistant:
Pros: My job requires patience and understanding, a lot of the residents that live in the facility have no where else to live beside the facility so I've made it a goal to make they're life circumstances as pleasant as it should be.
Cons: The pay, only because it discourages people to actually come to work with energy and enthusiasm to work.
