Turner Construction Company Reviews

What is it like working at Turner Construction Company?

Very rewarding. We work on interesting products that provide opportunity to learn complex delivery of unique products for a multitude of different types of clients.
Assistant Construction Superintendent in Boston:
Pros: I enjoy the team environment and working with expert tradespeople. I enjoy energizing the trades in the field and using a proactive approach in order to get the job done correctly, the first time around.
Cons: Micro management. Perception of my work ethic generated by my peers and back up to management. It is difficult to work with 25+ people everyday and trust that everyone is pulling their salary worth. Sometimes the environment gets to be gang mentality and produces a negative environment. This slows down team synergy and takes away focus of the tasks at hand. This becomes especially apparent when the project enters into its critical path and seeking certificate of occupancy, etc.
Great Place to Work.
Construction Superintendent, Commercial:
Pros: Management seems to genuinely care about the professional development of Turners employees at all levels.
Cons: The unnecessary dichotomy created between "staff" salaried employees and trade hourly employees.
Corporate.
Project Engineer:
Pros: Having opportunity to venture into different fields of work upon request.
Cons: Having to work extremely hard to be noticed to to the number of employees.
