Stantec Consulting Ltd. Reviews
What is it like working at Stantec Consulting Ltd.?
Great company, not so much for software developers.
Full Stack Software Developer in Calgary:
Pros: Lots of opportunity to work on meaningful projects. Freedom to explore new technologies and try things out.
Cons: It has been difficult to get support, and the IT department largely works against you.
Great team environment.
Civil Engineer in Overland Park:
Pros: The people I work with
Cons: The clients we work for and projects we design are often for private developers profits.
Junior Environmental Technician (SIR)
Environmental Technician in Vancouver:
Pros: - flexible scheduling
- interesting projects
- good management
- co-workers and culture is great
Cons: - some high stress situations
- Sometimes there is not enough time to be trained on something
- can be periods where there is not enough work so you have to just leave and wait for the next project
Some good, some bad.
Civil Engineer in Bellevue:
Pros: Lots opportunities but this is highly variable depending on your group
Cons: Bureaucracy of a large company
Beginning of the End.
Desktop Support Analyst in Ottawa:
Pros: Only some of my co workers. We are no longer a company but instead a multi national corporation. The almighty dollar makes decisions.
Cons: Bureaucracy. Takes too long to make decisions.
Administrative Assistant in Toronto:
Great company with friendly and helpful management that are always available to help you go. Annual review process is about your personal career goals - not just your performance. Hours are flexible as long as you get your 37.5 in throughout the week and are here during the main portion of the day. Company culture/events lack a little but I like that I am not guilted into attending a company social event and then have to make up for it by staying later - I can get home to my friends and family earlier to do what matters more. Decent pay with annual and sometimes semi-annual raises.
Challenging and fulfilling!
Project Manager, Engineering in Sacramento:
Pros: People
Cons: Lack of formal structure
