Raytheon Co. Reviews

What is it like working at Raytheon Co.?

The Corporate Military Complex.
Technical Product & Program Manager in Florida:
Pros: High tech products and complex work. I love figuring things out, which draws me to the job.
Cons: The company literally only cares if they are making money and pleasing the individuals currently in office, who write the contracts. The company does not care who you are as an individual and they have a "check in the box" mentality to compliance. There is no regard for personal preference or freedom, you may as well be in the military but without the good benefits.
Technical Support Specialist in Brandon:
Dig in! The company pays up to $25k/yr graduate tuition direct bill. You know you want to become an Engineer (The Brains). Opportunities to learn all things electronic. We serve the nation and its warfighters!
Steady Interesting Work.
Senior Systems Engineer in Boston:
Pros: Benefit of society for the project I am working
Cons: Dealing with schedule and budget planning
Great to start as LDP in Raytheon after university.
Compliance Analyst in Seattle:
Pros: work life balance, great communication with manager, flex time, good team, every other Friday off
Cons: not much career path for my team.
Working with huge defense contractor.
Cyber Security Analyst in Herndon:
Pros: Big organization with a lot of areas/field of operation.
Cons: Treating me as a junior employee and not giving responsibie roles
Growth Not an Option.
Logistics Specialist in Hartford:
Pros: Always new challenges
Cons: severely underpaid, doing most other people's work for them.
Heavy Responsibility, Below Average Pay.
Materials Manager in Marlborough:
Pros: I feel that my work makes a difference in the world. The company protects ships, bases, and citizens around the world on a daily basis. The technology is cutting edge and the work is challenging.
Cons: Pay does not seem competitive. Benefits are seen as the equalizer but the company will struggle to retain young talent so long as they choose to pay less than competitors. Too focused on how their pay matches to others in the defense industry and not concerned about Tech companies that offer better work environments and better pay.
